Kitchen Remodeling Costs
Kitchens are the No. 1 remodeling project in the US, but the price tag for the work varies across the country and from city to city. To improve air circulation and get more counter space, have a pass-through put into the wall between the kitchen and dining room with a countertop surface to set things on. Another option is removing a wall or partial wall completely and adding a cupboard with a countertop.
If the kitchen in big enough it is worth integrating bins into your cabinetry and if you choose not to integrate make sure that you design the kitchen plan with a good space for the bin, out of site, not in the pantry and out of the way of kitchen traffic.
Update an outmoded 200-square-foot kitchen with a functional layout of 30 linear feet of semi-custom wood cabinets, including a 3-by-5-foot island; laminate countertops; and standard double-tub stainless-steel sink with standard single-lever faucet.
The ice on those trees was beautiful…but i bet it made your heart sink..it would mine…the kitchen is just lovely…we redid our kitchen too and added the beadboard…which i LOVE…love the champagne in the fridge…it was well deserved…i know how much work that is… i have been there too..at times.
In my experience with hundreds of IKEA kitchen projects, homeowners can have unrealistic expectation of labor costs since the prices of materials, that is to say cabinets and sinks and tile and so forth can be confirmed fairly easily, but estimates from contractors are trickier to get, and to believe.
